The current situation and development direction of the instrument and meter industry

the current situation and development direction of the instrument and meter industry

after decades of construction and development, especially in recent decades, China's instrument and meter industry has initially formed an industrial system with a relatively complete range of product categories, a certain production scale and development capacity, and has become the second largest instrument and meter producer in Asia except Japan

I. Development Status of instrument and meter industry

in recent years, great changes have taken place in China's instrument and meter enterprise system. The rapid development of foreign-funded enterprises and the rapid rise of private enterprises have become the main body of instruments and meters. In 2003, the sales revenue of foreign-funded enterprises accounted for more than 40% of the industry, and the profits accounted for 53.6% of the industry. Private enterprises followed closely, and increased investment. For example, Chint Group invested 100million yuan to enter the industrial automation instrument industry, and time group merged Jinan Shijin group, the country's largest testing machine enterprise. Zhejiang zhongkong Technology (Group) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Xinhua Control Technology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Hollysys System Engineering Co., Ltd., three private enterprises, have developed into the most powerful industrial control system companies in China, with annual sales revenue of more than 500million yuan and a good development momentum

the competitiveness has been improved, and a number of technologically advanced products with international competitiveness are emerging. For example, the level of domestic industrial control system DCS has been significantly improved. It has undertaken 60 sets of 300000 kW generating units, which are in good condition for operation, and won the bid in the international bidding for the new project of 600000 kW generating units, which fully has the international competitiveness

the import and export trade of instruments and meters grew rapidly. In 2003, China's total import and export of instruments and meters was about US $12.1 billion, of which the export was US $2.95 billion, an increase of 52.6% year-on-year in 2002. The export products already include industrial control systems and precision scientific instruments with high technical content. The export of medium and low-end digital multimeter accounts for 60% of the world market. Exporting countries are not limited to Asia and Africa. Many products have successfully entered the European and American markets

at present, although China's instrument industry has made great progress as a whole, it is still far from meeting the growing urgent needs of the national economy, the distance between the oil suction pipe and the oil return pipe in the scientific oil tank should be as large as possible, such as research, national defense construction and social development. Most of China's instruments and meters are middle and low-end products, and their technical level is equivalent to the international level of the junior high school in the 1990s. Almost all high-end large instruments rely on imports. In terms of total market sales, China's total import of instruments and meters in 2003 was US $9.15 billion, equivalent to 73% of the total domestic industrial output value. Excluding the export part, China's domestic instruments and meters only occupy 51.4% of the domestic market, with a gap as high as half. It is not difficult to see that the current situation of instruments and meters in China is grim. The overall development level of instruments and meters in China lags behind that of developed countries for 10 to 15 years

II. The main reasons that restrict the reliability and stability of domestic instruments and meters

there are many factors that China's instruments and meters fall behind the international advanced level, including low measurement and control accuracy, shortage of varieties, poor appearance and other factors, and the most fatal difference is in the reliability and stability of products. Using domestic instruments and meters, the success rate of one-time startup is not high, but the maintenance rate in use is not low. The problem of reliability and stability has not been fundamentally solved for a long time, which has become a "bottleneck" in the development of instruments and meters in China, seriously hindering the application of domestic instruments and meters. Every year, China has to invest a lot of money in the import of instruments and meters, which has become a strong gold testing family in Jinan and increased substantially every year. In addition to the fact that some users do purchase high-end large-scale precision instruments that are in short supply in China, many users purchase instruments and meters that can be produced by themselves in China. The main reason is that the low reliability and stability affect the reliability of domestic instruments

the main reasons restricting the reliability and stability of domestic instruments and meters are as follows: (1) ignoring the research and development of basic technology; (2) The quality of domestic general parts and basic parts does not meet the standards; (3) The quality management and training ability of the enterprise. It is noteworthy that in recent years, the reliability and stability of instruments and meters in China have been highly valued, and the situation has been improved. A number of products with high reliability and stability have been coming out. The extensive application of domestic DCS system is the best proof

III. development direction of future instruments and meters

industrial automation instruments: focus on the development of main control system devices and intelligent instruments, special and special automation instruments based on fieldbus technology; Expanding the service field in an all-round way and promoting the instrument and meter system can also reduce the digitization, intelligence and networking of raw material consumption system, and complete the transformation of automatic instruments from analog technology to digital technology. Within five years, the proportion of digital instruments will reach more than 60%; Accelerate the commercialization of automation software with independent intellectual property rights

electrical instruments and meters: focus on the development of long-life electric energy meters, electronic electric energy meters, special electric measuring instruments and automatic management systems for electric metering. By 2005, the domestic market share of medium and low-grade electrical instruments and meters will reach 95%; By 2010, the domestic market share of high and middle grade electrical instruments and meters should reach 80%

scientific test instruments: focus on the development of process analysis instruments, environmental monitoring instruments, industrial furnace energy-saving analysis instruments, as well as new products such as dynamic balance of auto parts, dynamic test and vehicle performance tester, geodesy instrument, electronic tachometer, measuring global positioning system and other experimental machines and laboratory instruments required by basic industries. The products are mainly mid-range products with high technical content, accounting for 50% ~ 60% of the total output value by 2005

environmental protection instruments and meters: focus on the development of automatic control system products for environmental protection monitoring of atmospheric environment and water environment. In view of the need to strengthen environmental protection law enforcement, speed up the pace of environmental protection construction, increase investment in environmental protection construction, and cultivate environmental protection industry, a new growth point of the national economy, facing the huge market of more than 5000 environmental testing stations and a large number of urban sewage treatment and enterprise wastewater treatment in China, In the future, the market for industrial products of environmental protection instruments and meters will have a substantial growth. According to incomplete statistics from relevant parties, the output value of China's environmental protection instruments and monitoring systems in 1998 was about 1.17 billion yuan. By 2005, it will be expanded to 4.2 billion yuan, reaching the international advanced level in the late 1990s, and the domestic market share will reach 50% ~ 60%. By 2010, it will be expanded to 11billion yuan, and the domestic market share will reach more than 70% by 2010. Thus, its market prospect is very broad

analytical chemical instruments: the key research directions include: first, high-throughput analysis, that is, a large number of samples can be analyzed and tested in a unit time. The second is extreme condition analysis, in which single molecule single cell analysis and manipulation is a hot topic at present. Third, real-time, on-site or in-situ analysis, that is, from sample collection to data output, to achieve rapid or one-stop analysis. Fourth, joint use technology, that is, two (or more) analysis technologies are connected to complement each other, so as to complete more complex analysis tasks. The combination of combined technology and combined instruments, especially the emergence of triple or even quadruple systems, has become an important direction for the development of modern analytical instruments. The fifth is array technology. If the joint analysis technology is regarded as a serial method in the computer, the array technology is equivalent to the parallel operation method in the computer. Like computer, array method is the best scheme to greatly improve the analysis speed or sample batch processing capacity. Once the parallel array idea is perfectly combined with the integration and chip fabrication technology, the analytical chemistry of the fracture surface and the axis of the specimen will move towards a new field

instrument components: during the Tenth Five Year Plan period and before 2010, a batch of marketable products with good market effect will be developed as soon as possible, with the variety share reaching 70% ~ 80% and the market share of high-end products reaching more than 60%. Through scientific and technological public relations and new product development, the product quality level has reached the international level in the late 1990s, and some products are close to the advanced level of similar foreign products

medical instruments, focusing on the development of medical optical instruments; Ultrasonic medical instruments with digital imaging, high-grade black-and-white ultrasound, color ultrasound and color ultrasound transducer as key technologies; X-ray image processing system, open superconducting nuclear magnetic resonance system and other large-scale medical instruments and clinical information systems; High energy intelligent large-scale instrument system for tumor treatment

according to the demands of China's national economic and social development, after fully recognizing the development trend of international instruments and meters, the country has formulated a strategic goal for the development of instruments and meters: in the next 10 to 15 years, make full use of China's rapid economic development and huge market advantages, vigorously promote the application and research of new technologies and processes in instruments and meters, and master the design, production process and other key technologies of various instruments and meters, The gap between the overall level of China's instrument industry and the international level will be shortened to 3-5 years, about 30% of the products will reach the international advanced level in the same period, the supporting capacity of domestic instruments and meters in major projects will reach more than 85%, and occupy more than 75% of the domestic market demand

modern instruments and meters play an important role in today's society. In the face of the urgent needs of the development of China's national economy, science and technology, national defense construction and social life, the development of instruments and meters must be accelerated
